SUCESOS IV
10 years in the making. Seven years since its introduction. Four versions. Two cities. One story.
The watch that inspired the brand. The watch that we were always going to make. The watch that started it all.
The legacy lives on
2026: Sucesos IV
Bronze case. 37mm. Miyota 9039 automatic movement.
From the moment it is worn, the bronze begins to change. The patina that forms is yours alone — no two Sucesos will age identically. A living surface, honest about time.
The study timepiece has been worn and observed since January 2026. For the first time in ten years, nothing needed changing. Built on everything the earlier versions taught us, the watch was ready.
2026 marks Dr. Rizal's 165th birth anniversary and 130th death anniversary. It will not happen again in our lifetimes.
This year — let's make it happen.
2016-2018
The Beginnings
Before a single prototype was made, there was about three years of discovery research and development done.
The existence of such a timepiece. The consistency of the timepiece to the era. The story from the family of the man said to have worn it, and what it meant to recreate something that carried his name — carefully, honestly, without overreach.
By the end of 2018, Ibarra finally had something to build on: a timepiece that was never made public—and remains so to this day.
But the brand had one question to answer: could we build a watch worthy of this story?
We believed the answer was 'yes'.
Before the one, there were three.
