Deco Ibarra Gran Luz Officially Entered in the GPHG 2025
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
We are honored to share that the Deco Ibarra Gran Luz, the debut timepiece from our design-focused line Deco Ibarra, has been officially entered into the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2025, under the Challenge Category.
The GPHG—often referred to as the “Oscars of Watchmaking”—celebrates excellence, creativity, and innovation in horology. Being among the list of participating watches is already a great privilege. The Challenge category, in particular, brings together an inspiring mix of independent brands, emerging voices, and established players, all presenting accessible timepieces that reflect exceptional design and watchmaking values.
We have immense respect for every brand that has submitted a watch this year. Each entry tells its own story, and it is an honor for us to stand alongside such diverse and passionate creators. To simply take part in this celebration of craftsmanship and artistry is already meaningful for us.

“To simply take part in this celebration of craftsmanship and artistry is already meaningful for us.”
The Deco Ibarra Gran Luz was designed with deep intention. It draws from Filipino Art Deco heritage, reinterpreted through a refined Tokyo-based design perspective, and realized through carefully considered details—from the luminous mother-of-pearl dial and geometric hour markers to the banig-inspired bracelet. It reflects our belief that watchmaking is not just technical, but also cultural and human.
As the Academy begins the process of selecting shortlisted timepieces, we remain hopeful that the Gran Luz will be chosen to move forward to the next stage. But regardless of the outcome, we are grateful to be part of this journey—one that connects us with a global community of watchmakers, designers, and storytellers.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We continue to pursue the vision of creating meaningful watches that reflect where we come from—and where we are going.
