A Symbol of National Pride

Ibarra is a brand that has consistently pursued excellence and has had several remarkable achievements that allowed it to be seen as a symbol of national pride. These shining moments have put the brand on the national and international spotlight, and has helped it establish a reputation as a premier watch brand in the Philippines.

 

One of the most notable moments for Ibarra was in 2017 when the former Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte, wore his Ibarra Plaridel timepiece during a press conference prior to his State Visit to Russia. The President's acknowledgement of the importance of supporting local products inspired Ibarra to aim higher and aspire to be an essential mover in watchmaking in the Philippines.

 

In the same year, Ibarra was commissioned to create exclusive timepieces for the global leaders and delegates who attended the ASEAN50 event hosted by the country. These timepieces were customized versions of the same model worn by the President during his press conference, which gave Ibarra the opportunity to represent the country as the national timepiece.

And two years later, in 2019, Ibarra was chosen as the Official Timepiece of the 30th Southeast Asian Games. This was yet another opportunity for the brand to showcase its expertise and craftsmanship to the world.
